A szállítmányozás és logisztika jövője Közép-Európában: 2020 július 16-án volt a CE TalkNET projekt zárókonferenciája

A projektben a magyarországi kikötői partner a Budapesti Szabadkikötő Logisztikai Zrt., amely azt vizsgálta, hogy milyen módon lehetséges a kikötő részvételével a budapesti városi logisztika kiszolgálása elektromos üzemű haszonjárművekkel. Számos szabályozási, technológia és gazdaságossági kérdés vár még megválaszolásra, de a BSZL Zrt. keresi az együtműködési lehetőségeket ezen a területen is.

A zárókonferenciára online felületen került sor, több, mint 130 – köztük számos magyar – részt vevővel. Több, külföldi szakértői előadás után a konferencia összefoglalóját a BSZL Zrt. képviselője tartotta meg.

A projekt az Interreg Central Europe Programból, az Európai Regionális Fejlesztési Alap támogatásával, az Európai Unió és Magyar Állam társfinanszírozásával valósul meg.

The future of Transport and Logistics in central Europe:
great success for TalkNET’s International Final Conference

TalkNET’s International Final Conference was held on the 16th July 2020 to further discuss the aim of the EU-project that focused on optimizing the coordination among freight transport stakeholders in the central Europe area.

Promoted by the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority – Ports of Venice and Chioggia as lead partner of the project, the online event registered over 130 participants among authorities, stakeholders and experts of the logistic sector.

The conference hosted international speakers and discussions about eco-innovative and multimodal solutions for the freight transport.

Venice (Italy), 16th July 2020 – Over 130 participants among institutional representatives, stakeholders and experts of the transport and logistic sector attended today online the TalkNET’s International Final Conference, that was promoted by the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority – Ports of Venice and Chioggia, Italy. The event hosted 13 international speakers and aimed to further discuss the future of transport and logistics in central Europe capitalizing the learnings and results of the TalkNET project.

More than 40 studies, 5 knowledge tools, 9 action plans, 11 pilot actions and 2 training activities have been developed in 3 years with the goal to develop deep competences able to support sustainable investments in multimodal nodes optimization and eco-innovation. Relevant results were achieved also due to the transnational approach and a strong stakeholder’s involvement ensuring a significant impact that will contribute to tackle the issue of sustainable freight transport in central Europe within the framework of the European Green Deal.

The conference hosted a keynote speech by Mr. Michele Acciaro, Associate Professor of Maritime Logistics at the Kühne Logistics University, about the advancements, challenges and policy actions for sustainable global supply chains in Europe. In two fireside chats, international speakers discussed respectively about the current state of eco-innovative solutions of transportations, including LNG market and sustainable ways of shifting freight transport from road to rail implementing multimodal solutions.

The Freeport of Budapest actively participated in all project acivities with a major role of leading one of the workpackages of the project. FBL’s pilot aimed to survey the pre-feasibility of e-mobility in the city logistics of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The Freeport is ready to participate in any further action aiming to develop e-mobility however there are several regulatory, technological and financial constraints which shall be dealt with the future.

TalkNET – Transport and Logistics Stakeholders Network is a cooperation project for multimodal environmentally-friendly freight transport in central Europe that involved 15 partners among ports, intermodal road transport and rail operators, freight villages and regional authorities from 8 different European countries.

Co-funded by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme 2014-2020 of the EU with a total budget of 2,5 million euros, TalkNET aimed at strengthening the efficiency of the logistic nodes, their hinterland connections and their related logistics services as well as at deploying alternative fuels and energy efficient solutions able to reach EU low-carbon targets.
